Acceptance of Terms

This is a binding agreement between you and Astrodune. By accessing or using the services offered through the website located at https://astrodune.com, you agree to be bound by and to abide by these Terms and Conditions, which may be updated by Astrodune at its sole discretion. Updated terms are effective upon being posted on the site.

It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically. If at any time you find these Terms unacceptable, you must immediately stop using the services and leave the site.

Eligibility to Use the Service

To access and use this service, you must meet the following criteria:

  1. Age Requirement: You must be at least 18 years old to use this service. If you are under 18, you may not use the service.
  2. Personal Data Accuracy: You must provide accurate, complete, and current information when creating or updating your profile. You may only enter your own personal data—this includes your birth data, contact information, and any other details related to your account. Entering someone else’s data, even with their consent, is strictly prohibited.
  3. Account Responsibility: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information and for all activities under your account.
  4. Legal Compliance: You must use the service in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations in your country of residence.
  5. Restricted Access: Certain features or services may only be available to users who meet additional criteria, such as premium membership, location, or verification requirements.

By using the service, you affirm that you meet these eligibility requirements.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms of Service at any time. When changes are made, we will revise the “Last Updated” date at the top of this document. Significant changes will be communicated through prominent notifications on the Astrodune website or via email if appropriate.

By continuing to use Astrodune after updates to the Terms, you agree to the revised version. If you do not accept the new Terms, you must discontinue use of our services.

We encourage you to regularly review these Terms to stay informed about your rights and obligations.

Site Access

To use or access Astrodune, you are required to create an account by providing an email address, password, and accurate birth data necessary for generating your personal natal chart. Providing birth data is mandatory, as the service cannot function without it.

You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials, including your password. You may not share or use another person’s account, email address, or password at any time. Additionally, you are prohibited from submitting birth data for anyone other than yourself.

While Astrodune ensures that your birth data is not directly visible to other users, please note that it may be possible for individuals with sufficient knowledge or software to reverse-engineer your birth data from the generated natal chart. Therefore, we cannot guarantee that your birth data will not be identifiable by others.

You agree to notify Astrodune immediately if you become aware of any unauthorized access to your account or misuse of your personal information. Astrodune is not responsible for any loss or damage arising from unauthorized account use, whether with or without your knowledge.

Astrodune is also not responsible for any loss, damage, or consequences arising from the use of your natal chart or birth data.

User Accounts and Responsibilities

Account Creation
To access certain features of Astrodune, you may be required to create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your account information updated.

Account Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login information and for all activities that occur under your account. If you suspect unauthorized access to your account, you must notify us immediately.

User Conduct
By using Astrodune, you agree not to:

  • Violate any laws, regulations, or third-party rights.
  • Engage in abusive, threatening, or harmful behavior towards other users.
  • Share, post, or distribute harmful, illegal, or offensive content.

Personal Profile Restrictions
Astrodune provides two distinct account types: a personal user profile and a separate business page for astrologers. Commercial promotion of astrological services must be conducted exclusively through a dedicated business page.

Personal profiles may not contain or reference any of the following:

  • Links to astrological services, readings, or offerings
  • Pricing information for any services
  • Booking or scheduling links
  • Email addresses soliciting bookings or readings
  • Payment links or references to payment platforms
  • Solicitations such as “message me for readings,” “DM me for chart interpretation,” or equivalent language
  • Any other content that primarily serves to promote or advertise astrological services

This restriction applies regardless of how the solicitation is phrased. Content that functions as commercial promotion – even if not explicitly stated as such – may be removed at Astrodune’s discretion.

Astrologers wishing to promote their services are encouraged to create or claim their business page, through which appropriate commercial content and contact options are available.

Repeated violations of these restrictions may result in content removal, profile restrictions, or account termination.

Account Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if we believe you have violated these Terms or engaged in prohibited conduct.

Responsibility for Content
You are solely responsible for any information, data, or content you upload, share, or post through Astrodune. Ensure that your contributions comply with community guidelines and applicable laws.

User Content

Ownership of Content
You retain ownership of any content, including natal chart data and profile information, shared on Astrodune.

License to Use Content

By submitting content to Astrodune – including but not limited to natal chart data, profile information, posts, comments, reviews, and any other material you provide – you grant Astrodune a worldwide, perpetual, royalty-free, non-exclusive, sublicensable license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, display, and distribute such content for any purpose related to operating, improving, promoting, or developing the service, including but not limited to:

  • Operating and maintaining the platform
  • Improving and developing new features and services
  • Conducting research, analysis, and statistical reporting
  • Promoting Astrodune and its services to third parties
  • Developing aggregate or anonymized insights

You retain ownership of your content. This license does not transfer ownership to Astrodune, but it grants us broad rights to use your content as described above without further consent, notice, or compensation to you.

You represent and warrant that you have all necessary rights to grant this license and that your content does not infringe any third-party rights.

This license survives termination of your account to the extent that content has been incorporated into aggregate, anonymized, or de-identified datasets, or has been shared publicly on the platform prior to deletion. In all other cases, you may request deletion of your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

User Responsibility
You are solely responsible for any content you share, post, or submit through Astrodune. Content must not:

  • Violate any laws or third-party rights
  • Contain defamatory, offensive, or harmful material
  • Spread spam, malware, or harmful code

Content Monitoring and Removal
Astrodune reserves the right (but is not obligated) to monitor, review, and remove user content that we deem inappropriate, unlawful, or in violation of these Terms.

Third-Party Content
Astrodune is not responsible for the content shared by other users. You acknowledge that you may encounter user content that is inaccurate or objectionable.

Prohibited Activities

When using Astrodune, you agree not to engage in any of the following prohibited activities:

  1. Illegal or Unlawful Activities
    • Violating any applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights.
    • Engaging in fraudulent, deceptive, or criminal conduct.
  2. Harmful Behavior
    • Harassing, threatening, or abusing other users.
    • Sharing or promoting content that is defamatory, obscene, offensive, or harmful.
  3. Unauthorized Access and Security Breaches
    • Gaining or attempting to gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or data.
    • Introducing malware, viruses, or any harmful code.
  4. Disruption of Services
    • Interfering with or disrupting the operation of Astrodune, including tampering with its software or security features.
  5. Data Misuse
    • Collecting or harvesting user data without consent.
    • Sharing or distributing sensitive user information.
  6. Intellectual Property Violations
    • Infringing on Astrodune’s or any third party’s intellectual property rights.
  7. Misrepresentation
    • Impersonating any person or entity or falsely representing your affiliation with Astrodune.
  8. Automated Usage and Data Scraping
    • Using bots, crawlers, or other automated methods to access, scrape, or manipulate data from Astrodune without prior authorization.
  9. Commercial Exploitation
    • Reselling, sublicensing, or otherwise commercially exploiting any part of Astrodune without permission.
  10. Other Harmful Activities
  • Engaging in any conduct that Astrodune reasonably deems harmful, disruptive, or inappropriate for the community.

Compliance with Intellectual Property Laws

Respect for Intellectual Property
Users of Astrodune must respect the intellectual property rights of Astrodune and third parties. This includes copyrights, trademarks, and other proprietary rights.

User-Generated Content
By submitting content to Astrodune, you affirm that:

  • You own or have the necessary rights and permissions to share the content.
  • Your content does not infringe upon any third-party intellectual property rights.

Prohibited Actions
You may not:

  • Copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from Astrodune’s content without prior written consent.
  • Use trademarks, logos, or branding from Astrodune without authorization.
  • Upload or share content that violates the intellectual property rights of any person or entity.

Reporting Violations
If you believe your intellectual property rights have been infringed upon, please contact us at astrodune@astrodune.com with the following information:

  • A description of the work you believe has been infringed.
  • The location of the allegedly infringing content on Astrodune.
  • Your contact information (name, email, phone number).

Consequences of Violations
Astrodune reserves the right to remove infringing content and suspend or terminate user accounts that repeatedly violate intellectual property laws.

Inappropriate Content

Astrodune is a community for meaningful astrological exploration and respectful interactions. We strive to maintain a welcoming, inclusive, and respectful environment. To that end, users are prohibited from posting, sharing, or transmitting any content that includes or promotes the following:

  1. Hate Speech or Discrimination: Content that incites hatred, violence, or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, disability, natal chart placements, or other personal characteristics.
  2. Harassment or Threats: Direct threats, bullying, intimidation, or any behavior intended to harm, demean, or silence other users, including abusive or mocking comments about their natal chart placements.
  3. Sexually Explicit Material: Content containing explicit sexual imagery, pornography, or material inappropriate for general audiences.
  4. Violent or Graphic Content: Depictions of graphic violence, harm, or any material designed to shock or disturb viewers.
  5. Illegal Activities: Content that promotes, facilitates, or endorses unlawful behavior, including but not limited to fraud, hacking, and the sale of illegal substances.
  6. Misinformation or Harmful Advice: Deliberate spreading of false information or harmful advice related to health or finance that may cause harm to individuals.
  7. Spam and Malicious Content: Unauthorized advertisements, phishing links, malware, or other disruptive material.
  8. Personal Data Disclosure: Sharing sensitive personal information without the explicit consent of the person involved.

Astrodune reserves the right to remove or moderate any content that violates these guidelines or is otherwise deemed inappropriate. Repeated violations may result in account suspension or termination.

Alleged Violations

Astrodune takes reports of guideline violations seriously to ensure a respectful and safe environment for all users. If you believe someone has breached our content or community guidelines, please report the issue through the available reporting features or contact support directly.

Upon receiving a report, we will:

  1. Review the Report: Examine the reported content to assess whether it violates our guidelines or terms of service.
  2. Investigation Process: In some cases, we may request additional information from the reporting user or review contextual interactions.
  3. Confidentiality: We will protect the privacy of all parties involved to the extent possible, while addressing the issue appropriately.
  4. Appropriate Action: If a violation is confirmed, actions may include:
    • Warning the user
    • Removing or editing the offending content
    • Temporarily or permanently suspending the user’s account
  5. Appeals: If you believe an action taken against your account was in error, you may contact us to request a review.

Astrodune reserves the right to determine what constitutes a violation and the appropriate response.

Termination of Use

Astrodune reserves the right to suspend or terminate user access to the platform at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including but not limited to:

  1. Violation of Terms: Breach of any terms outlined in these Terms of Service or community guidelines.
  2. Inappropriate Conduct: Posting or sharing content that is abusive, harmful, illegal, or otherwise violates our guidelines.
  3. Security Threats: Activities that jeopardize the security, functionality, or integrity of the platform.
  4. Fraudulent Activity: Misrepresentation of identity, unauthorized access, or other fraudulent behavior.
  5. Inactivity: Prolonged periods of account inactivity, where appropriate, as determined by Astrodune.

If your account is terminated:

  • Your access to features and content may be immediately revoked.
  • Astrodune may retain or delete your account data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and legal obligations.
  • Termination does not exempt you from liabilities arising from past use of the platform.

Users may contact support to inquire about account reinstatement or dispute a termination decision. Astrodune retains full discretion in these matters.

Third-Party Links and Services

Astrodune may contain links to third-party websites, services, or content that are not owned or controlled by Astrodune. These links are provided for convenience and informational purposes only.

By accessing third-party services through Astrodune:

  1. No Endorsement: The inclusion of any third-party links does not imply endorsement, sponsorship, or recommendation of the services or content.
  2. User Responsibility: Users acknowledge that they access third-party websites or services at their own risk and are solely responsible for reviewing and understanding the terms, privacy policies, and practices of those third parties.
  3. No Liability: Astrodune is not responsible for the accuracy, legality, security, or availability of content provided by third-party services.

We encourage users to exercise caution when interacting with third-party services and to report any suspicious or harmful links encountered on our platform.

Astrologer Listings and Third-Party Services

Astrodune provides a directory of astrologer listings, reviews, and contact options for informational purposes only. We do not endorse, verify, or represent any individual astrologer listed on the platform.

Claiming a listing grants management access to that listing based on available evidence provided at the time of the claim. Astrodune does not verify legal ownership of any business or professional identity. Claims may be reviewed and access revoked if a listing is successfully disputed by another party.

Astrodune is not a party to any agreement, transaction, or interaction between users and astrologers. We are not responsible for:

  • The accuracy, completeness, or reliability of information provided by listed astrologers
  • The quality, suitability, or legality of any astrological services offered
  • Any advice, interpretations, or recommendations provided by astrologers
  • The data handling, privacy practices, or security measures of individual astrologers
  • Any disputes, damages, or losses arising from interactions with astrologers found through the platform

When you contact or engage with an astrologer through or as a result of Astrodune, you do so at your own risk. Any exchange of personal information between you and an astrologer is governed solely by the astrologer’s own privacy and data handling practices, for which Astrodune bears no responsibility.

Astrologers listed on the platform act as independent data controllers with respect to any personal data they collect from users directly. Astrodune is not a joint data controller in such interactions and bears no responsibility for astrologers’ compliance with applicable data protection laws, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Astrologers who claim their listing on Astrodune agree that Astrodune may feature their business name, profile information, and listing content on Astrodune’s social media channels and other promotional materials for the purpose of promoting the directory and its listed practitioners.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Astrodune and its owners, affiliates, employees, and partners shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from or related to your use of the platform, including but not limited to:

  1. Loss of Data: Any interruptions, errors, or security breaches that result in the loss or corruption of user data.
  2. Service Availability: Downtime, technical issues, or inability to access the platform or specific features.
  3. Third-Party Content: Interactions with third-party websites, links, or services accessible through Astrodune.
  4. User-Generated Content: Opinions, advice, or content shared by users of the platform, including astrological insights and interpretations.
  5. Personal Decisions: Any decisions made based on information or content accessed through Astrodune.

In no event shall Astrodune’s liability exceed the amount, if any, paid by you for access to the platform during the 12 months preceding the claim.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so the above limitations may not apply to all users.

Indemnification

By using Astrodune, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Astrodune, its owners, affiliates, employees, partners, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorney’s fees) arising from or related to:

  1. Violation of Terms: Your breach of these Terms of Service or any applicable laws and regulations.
  2. User Content: Content you submit, post, or share on the platform, including any infringement of third-party rights or legal violations.
  3. Misuse of the Platform: Unauthorized or improper use of Astrodune, including activities that harm other users or the platform itself.
  4. Third-Party Claims: Any disputes or issues arising from your interactions with third-party services or content accessed through the platform.

Astrodune reserves the right to assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter subject to indemnification at your expense, and you agree to cooperate fully with such defense.

Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Finland, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

In the event of any disputes arising from or related to the use of Astrodune:

  1. Good Faith Negotiation: Users are encouraged to contact Astrodune support to seek an amicable resolution through good faith discussions.
  2. Mediation (Optional): If the dispute cannot be resolved through negotiation, either party may request mediation through a mutually agreed-upon neutral mediator. Mediation is voluntary and non-binding.
  3. Exclusive Jurisdiction: If a resolution cannot be reached, disputes shall be submitted exclusively to the courts of Finland.
  4. Time Limit to File Claims: Any claim or cause of action arising out of or related to the use of the platform must be filed within one (1) year after the claim arises, or it will be forever barred.
  5. Exceptions: Astrodune reserves the right to seek injunctive or equitable relief for matters involving intellectual property infringement, unauthorized access, or misuse of the platform.

DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTY

The services provided by Astrodune (“we,” “us,” “our”) are offered on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

We do not guarantee that:

  • The service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.
  • The information, interpretations, or outcomes derived from the service, including astrological insights and chart comparisons, will be accurate, complete, or reliable.
  • Any errors or defects in the service will be corrected.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.

Astrological readings and interpretations available through or facilitated by Astrodune, including those offered by astrologers listed in our directory, are intended for entertainment and personal reflection purposes only. Astrodune does not endorse astrology as a substitute for medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice. Users are strongly encouraged to seek qualified professionals for matters relating to health, mental wellbeing, legal issues, or financial decisions. Astrodune bears no liability for any decisions made based on astrological content accessed through the platform.

By using our service, you agree that your use is solely at your own risk. You assume full responsibility for any decisions, outcomes, or consequences resulting from your access to or use of the service.

We are not responsible for any data loss, corruption, or other adverse consequences resulting from your use of our service.

Modifications to the Service

Astrodune reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the service (or any part of it) at any time, with or without notice. This includes but is not limited to changes to features, functionality, or available content.

We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the service.
