Bruce Scofield is an American astrologer, author, and teacher based in Amherst, Massachusetts. He began studying astrology in 1967 and has worked as a professional astrological consultant since 1980. His consulting style is practical and developmental, using the birth chart as a map of psychological imprinting, life trends, strengths, challenges, and vocational direction. His work draws primarily on 20th-century Western astrology and includes natal analysis, transits, progressions, directions, solar and lunar returns, relocation work, synastry, and composite charts, while also incorporating elements of Hellenistic and classical Western astrology. He has written extensively, taught through Kepler College, spoken at conferences, and published books and articles on astrology and related traditions.
