About

Bruce Scofield began studying astrology in 1967 and has worked as a professional consultant since 1980. His approach draws primarily on 20th-century Western astrology while also incorporating Hellenistic and classical techniques. He passed certification tests from the National Council for Geocosmic Research (NCGR) and the American Federation of Astrologers in the early 1980s, and later served five years as national education director for NCGR. He has taught as faculty at Kepler College and lectured at conferences including the 2019 Kepler Conference. He is also a recognised authority on Mesoamerican astrology, having written extensively on Mayan and Aztec astrological traditions. His writing has appeared in The Mountain Astrologer, NCGR Journal, Dell Horoscope, American Astrology, and the Llewellyn Moon and Sun Sign books.
