
James Braha
James Braha is an American astrologer, teacher, and author internationally recognised as the first person to bring Hindu/Vedic astrology (Jyotish) to the West in accessible form, with his landmark 1986 book Ancient Hindu Astrology for the Modern Western Astrologer. Born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, he began studying Western astrology in 1978 before travelling to Delhi in 1982 to study privately with the renowned scholar and translator R. Santhanam, and to Bombay in 1984 to study with P.M. Padia. Over more than 45 years he has professionally analysed over 10,000 horoscopes, authored six books on astrology and non-duality, and is known worldwide for teaching astrologers to combine Vedic astrology's predictive precision with Western astrology's psychological and spiritual depth. James is the recipient of the Jyotish Kovida and the B.V. Raman Jyotisha Choodamani awards. He maintains an international practice from his home in Longboat Key, Florida, and has appeared in over 85 YouTube teaching sessions and podcast interviews.
