Babs Kirby is a British astrologer, author, lecturer, and workshop leader based in Weymouth, Dorset. She gained her Diploma from the Faculty of Astrological Studies in 1984 and went on to become its Vice President, serving as Director of the Faculty's two-year Counselling within Astrology course and teaching for the Faculty for twelve years. She also holds an MA in Jungian and Post-Jungian Studies from the University of Essex, with a dissertation on Jung's View of Astrology. Her professional background includes thirty years of private practice as an integrative psychotherapist, from which she retired in 2011. Work as an astrologer combines psychological depth with experiential approaches to chart interpretation, drawing particularly on humanistic and transpersonal psychology. She is a founder member and fellow of the Association of Professional Astrologers International, a trustee of The Urania Trust, and was appointed to the Advisory Board of the NCGR in 2001.
