Barbara Dunn Astrology Services

Barbara Dunn is a traditional and horary astrologer based in Weymouth, Dorset, with 37 years of experience. She specialises in personal relationships, business questions, electional timing, and horary astrology, answering specific yes-or-no questions through chart analysis. As Principal of the Qualifying Horary Practitioner (QHP) course, inheriting the role directly from founder Olivia Barclay, she brings a depth of traditional technique that is rare among practising astrologers. A strong choice for clients with a precise question needing a clear answer, or who want a reading rooted in classical methods rather than modern psychological astrology. Sessions are available by telephone and online.

About

Barbara Dunn (BA Hons, MA, DF Astrol S, QHP, FAPAI, PhD) began her career as a postgraduate at the London School of Economics, supported by a Social Science Research Council scholarship, before moving into astrology. She received the Faculty of Astrological Studies Diploma in 1988 and the Qualifying Horary Practitioner (QHP) qualification in 1990, going on to teach alongside QHP founder Olivia Barclay and being appointed QHP Head Tutor. She inherited the QHP from Barclay upon her death in 2001 and continues to teach and mentor QHP students worldwide as Principal. A grant from the Urania Trust supported the writing of her book and a further grant funded an MA in History at the University of Exeter, completed with distinction in 2016. A Wellcome Trust doctoral studentship later funded a PhD in the History of Medicine, examining the use of astrology in seventeenth-century medical practice, completed in 2021. A monograph on early modern medical astrology is currently in preparation for Springer. She is a Fellow of APAI.
