Benjamin Dykes earned his PhD in philosophy from the University of Illinois and taught philosophy at universities in Illinois and Minnesota. He received his medieval astrology qualification from Robert Zoller. Since 2007 he has published translations of foundational traditional astrology texts from Arabic and Latin, including Guido Bonatti's Book of Astronomy (2007), the Works of Sahl and Masha'allah, the Persian Nativities series, Abu Ma'shar's Great Introduction to the Science of the Judgments of the Stars, Introductions to Traditional Astrology, Astrology of the World (Vols. 1 and 2), The Book of the Nine Judges, Traditional Astrology for Today (2011), Mathesis, The Book of Religions and Dynasties (On the Great Conjunctions), and The Book of Periods and Epochs. He was a nominee for the Regulus Award for Theory and Understanding in 2018. He teaches the Traditional Natal Astrology Course (Part 1), a 20-lesson structured course limited to 30 students. He also offers Logos and Light philosophy courses on audio for astrologers and occultists.
