Bernie Ashman has been practicing astrology since the early 1970s, shaped from the outset by humanistic psychology and the work of Dane Rudhyar and Stephen Arroyo. Early coursework with Sidney Jourard PhD at the University of Florida grounded his counseling approach in humanistic psychology principles. His practice encompasses natal interpretation, predictive techniques including progressions and transits, relocation and local space astrology, and past-life oriented chart work. Alongside private practice he has authored over a dozen books for Llewellyn and other publishers, written interpretive text for major astrological software programs at Cosmic Patterns (including the Past Life Chart, Birth Chart Report, Prediction Report, Simpaticos, and The Earth Mandala), lectured throughout the United States, spoken at conferences, and mentored astrology students through individual apprenticeship.
