About
Bob Makransky is an American astrologer, systems analyst, computer programmer, and author who has lived on a farm in highland Guatemala for over 50 years. He began studying Western astrology in 1970 and went on to study Mayan astrology and shamanism with teacher don Abel Yat Saquib until don Abel's death in 2009, and was initiated as a Mayan priest. His astrological work spans natal interpretation, timing techniques including primary directions, progressions, and planetary hours, planetary strength, synastry, horary, electional, and astrolocality, alongside a deep integration with magical and shamanic practice. He developed free Mayan horoscope software, authored numerous books on both astrology and magic, and ran the Magical Almanac - a free quarterly astro-magical ezine.
