Bob Makransky is an American astrologer, author, and Mayan priest who has lived on a farm in the highlands near Coban, Guatemala since the early 1970s. He began studying Western astrology in 1970 and Mayan astrology around 2000, studying with his teacher, Mayan priest don Abel Yat Saquib, until don Abel's death in 2009. He is the author of free Mayan Horoscope software as well as multiple books on astrology and magic. His astrological approach draws primarily on Jean-Baptiste Morin (classical Western astrology) and specializes in natal interpretation, planetary strength, planetary hours, synastry, predictions, and electional work. He also writes on karmic and spiritual dimensions of astrology. Horoscope readings are available by email. He published a long-running free quarterly astro-magical ezine, Magical Almanac.
