C. S. Rao holds an M.A. in Astrology from P.S. Telugu University, Hyderabad, and works across Vedic astrology, the K.P. system, Ashtakavarga, and selected Western methods. His primary teacher was the late Shri P.V.K. Punneswara Rao, founder of Universal College of Astrology, Hyderabad, and his practice is rooted in K.P. astrology as propounded by Prof. Krishna Murthy. He has taught beginner and advanced astrology by email, and has coached students in M.A. Astrology courses conducted by P.S. Telugu University and Osmania University, Hyderabad. Honorary distinctions include Daivagna Siromani, K.P. Sidhanta Siromani, Jyotisha Visarada, Jyotisha Bhaskara, Jyotisha Acharya, Jyotisha Vidya Bhushana, Jyotisha Pandit, Jyotisha Vidya Nipuna, and Jyotisha Sasthra Sarvana.
