Dennis Flaherty is a senior Vedic astrologer, teacher, and writer who played a foundational role in introducing Jyotish to Western audiences through conferences, publications, and distance learning. He holds multiple senior certifications including Jyotish Navaratna from ACVA (2005), Jyotish Brihaspati from CVA (2014), Jyotish Medha Prabha from ICAS (2014), and additional CVA and ICAS titles including Jyotish Kovid, Jyotish Vachaspati, and Jyotish Visharada. He is the founder of the Northwest Institute of Vedic Sciences, through which he has trained students via long-running audio correspondence courses and mentoring programs. He has served as managing editor of the CVA journal since 2006 and writes the Star Trends and Vedic astrology columns for the Well Being Esoteric Almanac.
