Edith Hathaway holds NCGR Level IV certification as Consulting Astrologer (1989), Master Astro*Carto*Grapher certification from Jim Lewis (1988), Jyotish Kovid from the Indian Council of Astrological Sciences (1996), CVA Jyotish Visharda and CVA Jyotish Kovid from the American Council of Vedic Astrology (2010), Jyotish Brihaspati from CVA (2012, its highest title), and Jyotisha Mahasagara from the Raman and Rajeswari Research Foundation, Bangalore (2013). She was a founding member of the American Council of Vedic Astrology (1993) and has served as faculty and board member of both the American Council and the American College of Vedic Astrology since 1992. Her primary Vedic influence was the late Chakrapani Ullal; she trained in locational astrology under Jim Lewis. She has lectured at UAC 2018, ISAR 2016, Kepler College, and major international conferences, contributing to panels on US presidential elections and mundane astrology. Her book In Search of Destiny received the Eric Hoffer Book Award in Nonfiction E-book (2013) and was a San Diego Book Awards finalist.
