Gary P. Caton is a transdisciplinary Hermetic astrologer and practitioner based in Asheville, North Carolina. Initiated into astrology in 1993 by a dream of the Sun-Venus cazimi, he has since devoted his practice to the living sky, inner planet cycles, and Hermetic traditions. He holds a degree in counseling with highest honors and has worked as a Qualified Mental Health Professional in North Carolina. Gary is the author of Hermetica Triptycha: The Mercury Elemental Year (Rubedo Press), which offers the first comprehensive treatment of Mercury's retrograde cycles through four distinct patterns. He hosts the Hermetic Astrology Podcast, one of the long-running top astrology podcasts on iTunes. Gary served as Instructor and Dean of Preliminary Education at the International Academy of Astrology (IAA) from 2010, and is co-founder of the Sky Astrology Conference. He has presented for over 60 organizations in dozens of states and five countries, including the Astrological Association of Great Britain, ISAR international conference, NCGR national conference, UAC, and Shamanic Astrology Mystery School.
