Gary P. Caton was initiated into astrology in 1993 by a dream of the Sun-Venus cazimi and has since built a practice centred on Hermetic philosophy, inner planet cycles, and direct sky observation. He holds a degree in counselling with highest honors and has worked as a Qualified Mental Health Professional in North Carolina. He served as Instructor and Dean of Preliminary Education at the International Academy of Astrology (IAA) from 2010 and is co-founder of the Sky Astrology Conference, held in 2015 and 2018. He has presented for over 60 organisations in dozens of US states and five countries, including the Astrological Association of Great Britain, ISAR international conference, NCGR national conference, UAC, and Shamanic Astrology Mystery School, and has served on the AFAN Steering Committee for four years. He is also an accomplished astrophotographer who documents celestial events, with prints available for sale, and serves as Astronomer and Forecaster for the Celestial Planting Calendar. He offers 7-week beginner astrology courses and guided mentorships via his website, as well as beginner and advanced delineation classes through the IAA.
