About
Jessica Murray is an astrologer, writer, and cultural commentator based in San Francisco, California. She trained as a fine artist before graduating from Brown University in 1973, where she studied Jungian psychology and linguistics. After a period with a political theatre troupe, she turned to astrology and has been practicing and teaching in San Francisco for over fifty years. Her work draws from multiple metaphysical traditions to illuminate the spiritual underpinnings of both personal and collective experience. Known especially for transpersonal and humanistic astrology, she offers natal readings, transit readings, synastry, and ongoing mentoring. She writes regularly for The Mountain Astrologer Magazine, Reality Sandwich, and her own monthly SkyWatch column at MotherSky.com. She has collaborated with Astrology University and the National Council for Geocosmic Research (NCGR) on webinars. Her books offer an astrological perspective on American culture and world events.
