Joe Landwehr has been practicing astrology since 1971 and received professional certification from PAI (Professional Astrologers, Inc.) in 1977. He holds an MS in Marriage, Family and Child Counseling from La Verne College (1975) and trained in medical astrology with Dr. Ingrid Naiman from 1993 to 1995, receiving a certificate of competence. His formative spiritual influences include Yogi Bhajan (kundalini yoga, 1973 to 1976), Swami Muktananda (Siddha yoga, from 1978), and Native American ceremonial traditions. He is the founder and director of The Astropoetic School of Soul-Discovery, an individualised correspondence course and workshop series built around correlating astrological cycles with lived experience. He has authored five books on astrology and consciousness. His approach integrates the chakra system as a lens for astrological interpretation, going beyond descriptive astrology toward the intentional embodiment of planetary energies as tools for growth.
