Julia Miles's interest in astrology began in her teenage years. Formal modern psychological astrology study began in the early 1980s in North London, with the Faculty of Astrological Studies certificate gained in 1990. In 2012 she began studying Traditional Astrology and completed the School of Traditional Astrology certificate in 2015, followed by the London School of Astrology Diploma in 2022. She also holds an interest in mundane astrology, the study of world events and politics, and meets regularly with fellow astrologers to analyse political and world events astrologically. She is a member of the Association of Professional Astrologers International and adheres to its Code of Ethics. Her professional background outside astrology spans over three decades in education, training, and coaching roles.
