Juliana Swanson began studying Western astrology at age 14 under her parents' guidance and later specialised in Vedic astrology, earning the ACVA Level III certification (the highest title of Jyotish Coach), ACVA/CVA Level II certification, and five titles of excellence: Jyotish Visharada (ACVA/CVA, 2004), Jyotish Kovid (ACVA/CVA, 2007), Jyotish Navaratna (ACVA, 2022), Jyotish Kovid from ICAS Bangalore (2012), and Jyotish Vachaspati (2017). She is also a Registered Polarity Therapy Professional (RPP Level II), Certified Rebirther and Sacred Breath practitioner, MahaBote Burmese Astrologer, and Hast Jyotish practitioner in Vedic palmistry. Her spiritual roots trace to the teachings of Paramhansa Yogananda. She attended Antioch College and Naropa University, where she studied Eastern philosophy and yoga alongside astrology, and holds nursing qualifications with clinical experience in maternity, operating room, and psychiatric care settings. She serves as Professor, Provost, and Dean of Academics at the American College of Vedic Astrology, where she has been faculty for over a decade, and previously taught at the International Academy of Astrology. She has presented at the Future of Astrology Conference.
