Lars Panaro
Lars Panaro is an astrologer, musician, and tarot practitioner who works across multiple astrological traditions. Originally from the United States, he discovered astrology while pursuing a BFA in guitar performance at the California Institute of the Arts, where his first teacher was harp professor Susan Allen - a direct student of the humanistic astrologer Dane Rudhyar. Rudhyar's holistic and transpersonal approach became a lasting influence. Subsequent study included work with a local teacher in Albuquerque, New Mexico on the astronomical and mathematical foundations of astrological calculation, followed by study through the New Library's DMA (Diploma of Medieval Astrology), originally created by Robert Zoller. Lars then explored Hellenistic astrology through the work of Chris Brennan, and Indian astrology through Hart de Fouw, Ernst Wilhelm, and others. He also explored Uranian astrology with astrologer Kate Petty. He is currently pursuing an MA in philosophy at the University of Tartu, Estonia. Lars has contributed articles to The Mountain Astrologer and has appeared on multiple astrology podcasts. The practice emphasizes using astrology as a tool for meaning, understanding, and transformation.
