Laurie Farrington's fascination with astrology began in childhood in rural Vermont in the 1960s, and formal practice began in 1994. She is self-taught through over 10,000 hours of independent study and has worked with thousands of clients worldwide over the following decades. She developed the Guidepost Method, a proprietary approach to natal chart interpretation that emphasises pragmatic, ethics-driven guidance. Her first book, How to Read and Interpret a Birth Chart: Guideposts for Understanding Natal Astrology, was published by Weiser Books in early 2025, distilling her method for both beginners and advanced students. A second book on relationships and the natal chart is in development. She offers ongoing mentorship programmes for astrology students alongside her client consultation practice. She is active on Facebook, Instagram, and Substack (Astrolore Astrology), and contributes to the AstroPath YouTube channel focused on mundane astrology.
