Mariella Cassar holds a Diploma from the Faculty of Astrological Studies in Western Astrology and a post graduate Diploma in Counselling within Astrology from the same institution, where she also served as a Council Member and Tutor. She is a Fellow of the Association of Professional Astrologers International (APAI), having previously served as its treasurer, and has served on the Council of the Astrological Association. She studied Jyotish for many years under Pandit Sanjay Rath, qualifying as both Jyotisha Pandita and Jaimini Scholar, and is a member of the British Association of Vedic Astrologers (BAVA). Before working as an astrologer, she spent 15 years in the City of London as a Member of the London Stock Exchange, and remains a Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments and a Member of the Society of Technical Analysts. She has practiced yoga and meditation since her teens, which informs the transpersonal psychological dimension of her work, and she has mentored a group of Jyotish students alongside her former tutoring role at the Faculty.
