Maxine Taylor began studying astrology in 1966 and in 1969 became America's first licensed astrologer after successfully petitioning Georgia authorities to distinguish astrology from fortune telling. In 1970, a bill she championed was signed into law, legalizing astrology in Atlanta. She co-founded the Metropolitan Atlanta Astrological Society, the Atlanta Board of Astrology Examiners, and the Atlanta Institute of Metaphysics, where she taught astrology for several years. She served as Vice President of the American Federation of Astrologers and is the author of several astrology reports for Kepler Software. She has published six astrology books, including Hidden Messages in Your Birth Chart and What Your Astrologer Never Mentioned. She graduated from the University of Florida in 1964 with a degree in education. In 2003, she was ordained as a non-denominational minister and developed Star Matrix, her own energy healing modality. Her predictions and commentary have been broadcast internationally and she has been profiled in the Wall Street Journal and the Atlanta Business Chronicle. She offers video readings covering natal charts, forecasts, synastry, and relationship compatibility, as well as spiritual coaching.
