Melanie Reinhart was born in Zimbabwe, where the night sky inspired an early vocation, and began studying ancient Wisdom Traditions at the age of ten. She has been a professional astrologer since 1975 and holds a BA in English, Music and Drama from the University of Cape Town. She is a prize winning Diploma holder of the Faculty of Astrological Studies, having received the Margaret Hone Award in 1979. Initially self taught and deeply immersed for many years in the work of Dane Rudhyar, her formation continued through study of horary astrology with Geoffrey Cornelius from 1989 to 1990 and later a Practitioner's Certificate with Deborah Houlding in 2012. She has taught for the Centre for Psychological Astrology, the London School of Astrology, the Faculty of Astrological Studies, Aula Astrológica de Catalunya, Heaven and Earth Workshops, and Astro Synthesis in Australia, presenting in eight European countries as well as South Africa, the USA, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. She ran her own London based workshop programme from 1991 to 2015. She is a Life Member of the Organisation for Professional Astrology, a Fellow of APAI, and a member of the Astrological Association.
