Philip Levine began practising astrology in 1973 and has combined his astrological work with a background in depth psychology and psychotherapy throughout his career. He holds an M.A. in Clinical and Counseling Psychology from the Synthesis Graduate School, San Francisco (1981), and is certified in psychosynthesis. He was a psychotherapist for 16 years before retiring from clinical practice. He is the creator of Sirius Astrological Services, which produces the Cosmic Window Personal Astrological Appointment Calendar, a datebook personalised to the individual's birth moment and place and filled with transits and insights. He co-created the Calendar of Archetypal Influences with philosopher Richard Tarnas. His book The Pearl Within: Discovering the Riches of the Underworld was published in 2003.
