About

Prudence Jones is a Cambridge-based astrologer, writer, philosopher, and practitioner in the Western esoteric tradition. She holds an MA from Cambridge and is a Fellow of the Association of Professional Astrologers International (FAPAI) and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (FRSA). Beginning as an academic philosopher specialising in ancient and medieval logic, she taught at Cambridge and the University of Alberta. Her astrological work is grounded in an academic understanding of ancient and medieval thought, and she specialises in problem-solving, political, and experiential astrology. She is the author of Creative Astrology: Experiential Understanding of the Horoscope. As a writer on pagan traditions, her co-authored A History of Pagan Europe (with Nigel Pennick, Routledge, 1995) is a standard textbook in the field. She was President of the Pagan Federation (1979-1991 and 2000-2002) and has served in multiple interfaith leadership roles. She also trained as an integrative psychotherapist. Prudence gives talks, lectures, and consultations, and has appeared as a guest speaker at events including Cambridge Astrology Club and major astrological conferences.
