About

Richard Nolle is a graduate of the University of Florida and has practiced astrology professionally since the 1970s. He authored four books, including Interpreting Astrology, published by the American Federation of Astrologers. From 1975 to 1992 he served as a columnist and feature writer for Dell Publishing Companys HOROSCOPE magazine, and his work has appeared in essentially all of the major U.S. astrology magazines as well as the interdisciplinary scientific journal Cycles. He is recognized as the astrologer who coined the term SuperMoon, after encountering the related concept of perigean spring tides while teaching a sailing course for the U.S. Navy. His SuperMoon concept and tables tracking lunar perigee syzygy alignments through the 20th and 21st centuries have been referenced by both astrologers and astronomers, and he is noted by sources such as Britannica as the astrologer credited with the terms origin. He has also defined and written about related cycles he calls Mars Max and Venus Max in his annual forecasts. His website Astropro, online since the mid 1990s, hosts free features on astrological symbols, historical planetary aspects, and his ongoing world forecast work, alongside his consultation and report services. He has been listed in Marquis Whos Who in the West and Whos Who in Entertainment, and his predictive work has been featured on television including the SIGHTINGS program.
