Alphee Lavoie is a full-time professional astrologer based in West Hartford, Connecticut, with over 60 years of experience. Born in northern Maine into a French-speaking family, he moved to Connecticut at 18 to study engineering and began practicing astrology professionally in 1965. In 1977 he founded the Astrological Institute of Research (AIR), the first astrology school in Connecticut, and in 1982 launched AIR Software - a worldwide astrology software company known for its pioneering use of artificial intelligence, including the award-winning Market Trader financial astrology software. Alphee holds NCGR Level IV certification in Counseling and Rectification, and served on the NCGR board for 12 years. He is renowned for his mastery of Horary astrology, having authored five books on the subject and written a monthly Horary column in Dell Horoscope magazine for over 29 years. He founded the AstroInvestigators research group in 2002, which conducts ongoing astrological research with astrologers worldwide. Alphee has lectured at major international conferences including UAC, NCGR, ISAR, AFA, and OPA, and has appeared on CNN, NBC, CBS, Fox News, and in Bloomberg Magazine.
