Arlan Wise has been a professional consulting astrologer since 1979. She holds a BA in Latin from Brown University, which informs her classical approach to chart interpretation, transits, and the study of human cycles. She is certified as a CAP (Certified Astrological Professional) by ISAR and certified by OPA, where she has served on the board of directors since 1994, including two terms as president and subsequently as vice president and director of publications. She currently edits OPA's journal the Career Astrologer. She is also a member of the Astrological Association of Great Britain, NCGR, AFAN, and AFA. In addition to client consultations, she gives writing workshops for astrologers at OPA retreats and edits and reviews astrology books.
