Arlan Wise is a professional consulting astrologer based on Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts, with practice ongoing since 1979. She holds a BA from Brown University with a major in Latin, and brings a classical grounding to chart interpretation, transits, and the study of human cycles. Certified as a CAP (Certified Astrological Professional) by ISAR, and certified by OPA (Organization for Professional Astrology), where she has served on the board of directors since 1994, including two terms as president, and subsequently as vice president and director of publications. Currently editor of OPA's journal the Career Astrologer. Member of the Astrological Association of Great Britain, NCGR, AFAN, and AFA. Specialty is drawing out the most positive dimensions of a client's unconscious potential and translating complex chart patterns into practical and encouraging guidance. She gives writing workshops for astrologers, edits and reviews astrology books, and contributes a regular weekly astrological forecast column to The Martha's Vineyard Times.
