Jessica Murray trained as a fine artist before graduating from Brown University in 1973, where she studied Jungian psychology and linguistics. After a period with a political theatre troupe she turned to astrology and has been practicing and teaching in San Francisco for over fifty years. Her work draws on multiple metaphysical traditions including Jungian psychology, humanistic astrology, and esoteric philosophy. She is known especially for her integration of transpersonal and political perspectives into natal and transit work. Jessica writes regularly for The Mountain Astrologer Magazine and Reality Sandwich, and publishes a monthly SkyWatch column by subscription at MotherSky.com. She has collaborated with NCGR on webinars and lectures, and has produced downloadable MP3 and MP4 lecture series on astrological and esoteric topics. She offers one-on-one tutorials for serious students alongside client readings. Her books Soul-Sick Nation (2006) and At the Crossroads (2012) are widely read in the astrological community.
