Sondra Barrett began her career as a biochemist and medical scientist studying human white blood cells to help distinguish forms of leukemia, later completing post-doctoral training in immunology. While working with children undergoing cancer treatment, she found that drawing what they imagined about their cells supported healing, which led her to explore the artistic and symbolic dimensions of molecular photography. Decades after first photographing the twelve mineral salts linked to the zodiac signs, she recognized that the resulting images grouped into four shapes corresponding to the four elements. This discovery became the foundation for her MicroCosmic Wisdom Oracle cards and her AstroElemental reading practice, which she describes as a bridge between scientific observation and spiritual insight. She is the author of Secrets of Your Cells and continues to write and teach on the intersection of biology, astrology, and consciousness.
